Jossalyn Eckert, the 2025 Miss Carlisle Ice Queen

The Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association means to me getting the opportunity to become hands on in my community. Giving me the chance to give back and step into leadership roles that shape how I view teamwork. It gave me the resources to step outside my comfort zone and to become comfortable talking in big crowds or even within a small group of people.

I took away so much from my time as Miss Carlisle Ice Queen, especially the realization that my voice has power and the ability to make change. The experiences I got to have led me to become more confident and grew my passion for community work and leadership. I hold so much of what I've learned from the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association close to my heart as it has prepared me to face my next steps in life with determination and gratitude.

2025 Miss Queen

My experience with Three Pillars has had a profound impact on me, both personally and within my community. Above all, it taught me the importance of showing up, being present, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

One of the most meaningful aspects of serving as a titleholder was the sense of purpose it gave me. Representing the organization encouraged me to hold myself to a higher standard, not only while wearing the sash and crown, but in my everyday life as well. I became more aware of the example I was setting and the impact my actions could have on those around me. That mindset has stayed with me and continues to influence how I approach both personal and professional situations.

The support and encouragement I received throughout my journey also helped me develop confidence in ways I never anticipated. Through public speaking, community appearances, and countless conversations with individuals from all walks of life, I became more comfortable stepping outside of my comfort zone. What initially felt intimidating gradually became natural.

The Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association has impacted me in many ways teaching me ways to lead, serve, and inspire others. My year of reign was wonderful and has truly impacted me and helped me with communication and public speaking. Everyone on the committee is so supportive.

I have also built friendships from my experience that will last forever with all of the girls that were on my court! It’s a wonderful way to build friendships, gain confidence, and serve the community!

The Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association meant so much to me because it was more than just a title. It transformed my relationship with my community as I had the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, represent something I am proud of, and give back.

Being involved with the association also helped me become confident in myself and my abilities. I saw personal growth in my public speaking, teamwork, and conversational skills as I experienced all that the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association has to offer. The association gave me another family and memories that I will always cherish, and I am grateful to have been part of such a special organization!

The Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association was a way for me to show commitment and compassion to my community. They gave me opportunities to make connections and get involved with new organizations to make an impact beyond myself. I found the experience rewarding and eye opening, as I got to hear new stories and interact with people from various walks of life.

I now find that my time with the association turned me into a more attentive, professional, and selfless person. I would recommend any opportunity to be involved with the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association, as even the competition itself embraces self confidence, body positivity, teamwork, and kindness. The three pillars of the association are truly characteristics of anyone it touches, not simply propaganda.

2024 Miss Alternate

I joined the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association in 2023 and, while that was a while ago, my experiences alongside other members of the court are unforgettable to this day. Whether it’s through Carlisle events, local community competitions, or unique gatherings planned by the court themselves, the association is always connected to the community of Carlisle.

The ability to create my very own community event gave me the opportunity to learn about the importance of involvement and the impact of confidence. As a result, I am now working with the Carlisle Theatre in downtown Carlisle to reach out to students and help them create connections and find their voices.

Without the guidance from the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association, I would have been too scared to even audition for a show. The association introduced me to a group of wonderful people who all encouraged me with their uplifting support and confidence. It was a fantastic experience to be part of a team where every single person was trying to achieve the same wonderful goal.

To me, the Carlisle Ice Queen Association is a close knit community of really wonderful people who uplift and help you out and are always there for you. You can talk to them about whatever and they truly are like a second family.

My time was so much fun, I got to become really close with amazing young women and got to work with a lot of interesting people and learn about them and what they appreciate and advocate for. It was an amazing experience and something that I will always be grateful for and never forget.
