What Happens After You Become a Queen?
Updated: Sep 23
Competition night ends with a very exciting moment: the crowning of the new Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Court. A Queen and an Alternate are selected in each of our four age divisions, creating a court of eight young women. Once the crowns and sashes are on, their year with Miss Carlisle Ice Queen officially begins.

Being a titleholder comes with many opportunities to get involved throughout the Carlisle community and to represent a program that believes in leadership and service.
It also comes with a commitment.
Here is what you can expect during your year-long reign.
You Become an Ambassador for Miss Carlisle Ice Queen
As a member of the court, you represent the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association throughout the year.
Our titleholders become familiar faces in the community. When you attend an event wearing your crown and sash, you are there as an ambassador for the program and everything it stands for. It is a responsibility we want our court members to feel proud of.
Your Calendar Fills With Appearances
The Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Court stays active throughout the year, with approximately one to three appearances every month.
Those appearances can take many different forms depending on what is happening in the community. You may find yourself participating in a local parade one month and attending a festival or fair the next. The court also takes part in community events and opportunities to collect donations for causes in need.
Every event gives you another chance to meet people and become involved in the place you represent.
Serve is one of the Three Pillars of Miss Carlisle Ice Queen, and a year on the court gives that word real meaning. Throughout your reign, you will have opportunities to support causes that matter and see what can happen when people give their time to something outside themselves.
For many titleholders, these experiences become some of the memories they value most from their year.
Your Participation Matters
Joining the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Court is a commitment, and we ask each titleholder to take that commitment seriously.
Throughout her reign, each titleholder will earn points through participation in appearances and events, securing sponsorships or donations, recruiting future contestants, and other activities established by the Committee.
Each year, the Committee will set an attainable point goal. Once that goal is met, the titleholder will have successfully completed her reign and secured her educational scholarship.
The goal is not to make earning the scholarship difficult, but to encourage each queen to actively participate, represent Miss Carlisle Ice Queen, and experience all that her reign has to offer.
Make Your Year Your Own
We provide the opportunities, but every titleholder brings something different to her reign.
We want our court members to be willing to learn and excited to give back. We also hope they will look for ways to make their year meaningful to them. Your crown gives you a platform within the community. What you bring to that opportunity is up to you.
By the end of your reign, we hope you can look back at a year you are proud to have been part of and feel ready for whatever opportunity comes next.
