The Christopher Campbell Commitment Award
Updated: Sep 18
The Christopher Campbell Commitment Award was established to honor the life, character, and enduring impact of Christopher Ray Campbell, a young man whose dedication to service, leadership, faith, academics, and community left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
A native of Shippensburg, Christopher excelled as a student-athlete, Eagle Scout, church member, and community leader whose life exemplified integrity, compassion, and commitment to others.
Presented annually by the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association, this award recognizes a reigning queen from the outgoing court who embodies the same qualities Christopher demonstrated throughout his life. The recipient is selected based on her dedication to the organization, enthusiastic participation in appearances and events, positive communication with fellow members and the community, welcoming spirit, and exceptional representation of the Miss Carlisle Ice Queen Association as a true ambassador.
Sponsored by the Campbell Family, the award serves as a lasting tribute to Christopher's legacy and reflects the continued commitment of his mother, Cathy Campbell, whose service to the organization helps keep his memory alive. The Legacy Cup is passed from recipient to recipient each year, symbolizing the enduring values of service, leadership, kindness, and excellence that Christopher embodied and that continue to inspire future generations.
